Calibration Technician 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Calibration Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Calibration Technician will perform calibration, maintenance and repair activities of electronic measuring and test equipment to commercial specifications and internal developed procedures as required to validate equipment accuracies and performance integrity. Calibrate, repair and evaluate performance of standard and non-standard electronic equipmentto verbal and written specifications utilizing sensitive and intricate comparison standards and devices. Calibration and verification of such devices as special test sets, commercially available Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Frequency Counters, Thermo measuring and Recording Devices and Electro-optical measurement equipment utilizing intricate setups, and exercising a thorough knowledge of calibration techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years ofexperience with various calibration and testing equipment as well as troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Adequate electronic aptitude, and be conversant with the terminology and techniques of calibration practices.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Access is required.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and co-workers in a team environment.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and lifting of test equipment is required.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work occasional late evenings and/or weekend overtime as required to meet customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Operation experience with vacuum, pressure, thermo-dynamic and optical measuring equipment desired.
  • Familiarity with military and aerospace industry concepts, practices and procedures and / or PML training is preferred.
