BusinessObjects Developer 2/3 - Engineer Database 2/3

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an experienced BusinessObjects Developer with Data Warehouse experience to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Put your years of experience into a future of excellence...The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's team to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD) suite of computer and automated software applications. CBP PSPD supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the CBP mission of securing our borders while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. All work will be performed on site at CBP offices in Northern Virginia (specifically Lorton, Springfield, and possibly Falls Church). Some local travel to various CBP sites may be required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements definition meetings and requirements documentation activities
  • Analyze customer requirements.

Design and implement BusinessObjects universes and reports including testing required to ensure high quality delivery

  • Perform data analysis and report validation
  • Create and maintain report documentation

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a BusinessObjects Developer Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years experience.
  • Must have an active or be able to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance.
  • Looking for a quick starter who can come up to speed on the applications with minimal direction and solid written and oral

communication skills.

  • 1 year experience with Business Object SDK and Customization
  • 2 years of experience with BusinessObjects
  • 2 years experience with Oracle databases and strong SQL background
  • Capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Essential qualifications include: (1) ability to quickly adapt to new situations, (2) strong commitment to a team

environment, (3) willingness to learn new technologies, (4) ability to resolve and clarify requests/requirements, and (5)

ability to establish, maintain and follow documented processes and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience.
  • Must have an active or be able to obtain a DHS/CBP security clearance.
  • Looking for a quick starter who can come up to speed on the applications with minimal direction and solid written and oral

communication skills.

  • 1 year experience with Business Object SDK and Customization
  • 5 years of experience with BusinessObjects
  • 5 years experience with Oracle databases and strong SQL background
  • Capable of a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools - JIRA/Confluence
  • Customs and Border Protection background investigation
  • Other DHS background investigation
