Business Site Review Auditor 2

Northrop Grumman's Corporate Internal Audit department is seeking a Business Site Review Auditor (Grade 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse audit staff. The Auditor will report to the Manager of Business Site Review Audits.

As part of our mission, Northrop Grumman Corporate Internal Audit (NGIA) has an objective to develop and deploy Northrop Grumman business leaders. This is accomplished through bringing high potential individuals into IA to be groomed and eventually moved back into NG businesses as future leaders.

The NGIA is made up of experienced and respected professionals, many of whom have held senior positions in Northrop Grumman or at other organizations. Our audit professionals have worked in the Program Management, Quality Management, Operations, Business Management, Finance, and Information Technology, fields.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting business site review audits at selected domestic locations across the country. This includes any site locations reporting to sectors, major program locations and subsidiaries.
  • Scope of reviews may cover business functions such as Program Management, Manufacturing Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, and overall Operational Effectiveness of Sites to execute Contract/Program requirements and achieve financial and technical goals.
  • Gather and analyze program and operations technical and financial data and validate performance against goals and reported program status. Review quality metrics and assess the adequacy of root cause corrective actions.
  • Candidate will interface with senior management on audit-related and business process issues.

ESCSOBasic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Finance, Engineering or related field with 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Production Control/Schedule, Mission Assurance, or Program Finance processes or master's degree in Operations, Finance, Engineering or related field with 1 year of relevant experience in Manufacturing, Production Control/Schedule, Mission Assurance, or Program Finance processes.
  • Relevant experience (Manufacturing) is defined as direct experience working in shop floor environment, manufacturing operations, inventory/logistics environment, safety role, machining and tooling and the ability to articulate and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of their particular area of expertise.
  • Relevant experience (Mission Assurance) is defined as direct experience working in quality management processes including tracking and response to internal and external corrective action requests (CARS) and the use of corrective action monitoring tools such as CPATS, inspection and test, non-conforming materials/MRB, tracking and verification of required training and certifications, stamp control, calibration requirements, out of tolerance analysis, validation of specifications, and compliance to contract schedule and quality requirements.
  • Relevant experience (Finance) is defined as direct experience working in program finance including cost tracking and analysis of variances to budgets/schedules, variance causal analysis and forecasts of impacts to sales and margin.
  • Working knowledge of data gathering analytical tools (SAP, BW, MS office (Excel, Access), ACL) to pull data from ERP systems and analyze and interpret a wide variety of data/information to identify trends, positive and negative correlations, form valid conclusions and present data to best highlight relevant points.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up 33% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's in Industrial Engineering, Operations or related field.
  • Familiarity of Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Strong background in Government Contracting.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other similar certification.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Experience with Root Cause/Corrective Action Analysis.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms.
