Business Process Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform business analysis including participation in design review, user acceptance testing, system analysis all phases of the software development lifecycle, change management, documentation, database and production support. This is an opportunity for an experienced individual with leadership skills to act as a liaison between development teams and user groups developing system solutions to meet business needs. This position will require experience in some optimum combination of mainframe and web server environments, depending on skills and expertise. This role will work closely with technical team leads, state team and quality assurance staff to ensure requirements are met.
Leads efforts to analyze, and document requirements for new IT and non-IT solutions.
Develops and maintains process, business rule, and decision table documentation.
Supports test case development and modification in support of a system evaluation.
Provide traceability reports that indicate that all system requirements have been met and that the software functions as intended in terms of usability and data integrity.
Collaborates with Northrop Grumman team members and Customer representatives to create requirements artifacts that adhere to outlined standards.
Create/Update documents required as part of the system development lifecycle including business & functional requirements, detail functional design, technical design input, use cases and process documents.
Coordinate and meet with IT and the client to ensure that business requirements are translated into succinct clear requirements.
Document current business processes if they are not already in place.
Work with third party software vendors to communicate business requirements and assist in the design.
Prepare for and lead the User Acceptance testing process.
Identify and quantify business process improvements along with system improvements through the use of technology.
As a part of a team, deliver work and solutions on time that builds trust and respect to both IT team members and clients.
Perform work independently without appreciable direction.
Act as an advisor to customers.

PSPRI

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
5 years business analysis, programming or testing experience
Strong understanding and experience with business analysis, change management and quality assurance procedures in system development, maintenance, and transition activities
Experience using industry-standard COTS tools (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Understanding of systems design and development processes
Experience in testing large scale ,mission critical systems
Must be a US Citizen or a Green card Holder

Preferred Qualifications:

Test script writing and execution;
Experience with JAMA/JIRA;
Experience with and knowledge of human services programs, Eligibility/Benefits Programs;
Experience with large scale interface processing;
Programming analysis and support in an IBM CICS ADABAS environment using COBOL or Natural programming languages on an MVS/zOS platform;
Support for large scale critical systems;
Experience with database management systems, data dictionaries, data synchronization and conversion methodologies and procedures (for ADABAS, Oracle, and/or MS SQL);
Analysis of work orders and problem reports;
