Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. This role is a Finance Leadership position [Manager Level II] located in Commerce, CA.

Job Summary




This candidate will be responsible for Cost Control, Cost Estimating, and EAC/ETC management of a portfolio of programs ranging in size up to $10M. The position will supervise a staff of financial analyst and work with site leadership, and Space Components Business Management to articulate the over-all financial health of the business.

The successful applicant will provide hands on, day to day interactive team leadership and management support in Program Finance areas to prepare estimate-at-complete [EAC's] and communicate results to Site Leadership. This will include review of Program EAC's [actual cost validation plus ETC], Program Audit support, and associated risk mitigation plans [Risk and Opportunity] to help build financial paths to achieve desired results.

Basic Qualifications

BS in Accounting, Finance, or other Business Management plus a minimum of 10 years of financial experience or 8 years with a Masters level

Experience in building/supervising preparation of estimate at complete schedules [EAC's] to calculate appropriate profit & loss rate. Preferred Aerospace & Defense experience

Experience in Proposal & Cost estimating to support new business pursuits

Ability to effectively and clearly present Program Financial impacts to all levels of the organization utilizing numerous software applications [CostPoint, TM1/Perspectives, Cognos, Excel, MS Project, and ProPricer]

Strong Analytical skills with excellent detail orientation

Experience managing direct reports preferred

Limited Travel to Space Components Business Management Head Quarters in San Diego [3 to 4 times per year]
