Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence in a dynamic and challenging Business Unit. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Navigation, Targeting & Survivability Division's Aircraft Survivability Business Unit. This Business Unit consists of a diverse set of DoD, commercial, and other customer contracts, with all contract types. The Business Unit also includes international business.

This position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL and offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week onsite)

Roles and Responsibilities of the Business Management Manager 1 include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead a team of Program Control Analysts, Contract Administrators, and Schedulers in executing a broad scope of business management activities to support program execution and compliance
  • Lead the EAC process to include earned value analysis, hands-on EAC updates, and revisions
  • Manage the monthly financial forecasting process to include analysis and recommendations on awards, sales, operating margin, and cash
  • Coordinate with multiple points of contact to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data
  • Analyze balance sheet activity and resolve unbilled balances
  • Support proposal activities including negotiations and business case development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Operations, Engineering and Program Management
  • Develop and train a direct staff of Program Control Analysts
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 5 years of industry related experience in finance, accounting or program control/Earned Value -OR - a Master's degree a described with 3 years of industry related experience as described.
  • Understanding of DOD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, and the FAR
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value and related tools
  • Prior experience with program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development
  • Prior experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and/or management.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a US Secret level security clearance. US citizenship is a prerequisite
Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Previous experience managing/supervising a program, project, or personnel. This may be a lead position on a team
  • Intermediate, to advanced-level of understanding of the following systems or software is beneficial: COBRA (or similar project management software), wInsight, SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), Microsoft Excel, and COGNOS
  • Working knowledge of Government financial CDRL's
Salary Range: $97,200 USD - $145,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
