Budget Analyst

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Azusa, CA is seeking a Budget Analyst (Level 2) to join our team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Compiles and reviews overall budgets for organizational units using forecasts, actual performance, previous budget figures, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration

• Prepares affordability analyses for CY budgets

• Prepares financial plans, prepares regular and special-purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget

• Monitors compliance of financial policies, interpret policies for non-routine activities

• Sets up IWOs needed

• Applies principles of accounting to analyze general ledger account balances, researching and processing adjustments/corrections.

• Supports Government audits

• Interprets budgetary policies and procedures

• Support the preparation and submission of Incurred Cost Proposal (ICP) to the Government

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 3 years of related experience, OR a Master's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting & 1 years of related experience
  • Experience with indirect budgeting, accounting, and cost accounting standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP
