Benefit Contracts Analyst

Northrop Grumman is seeking candidates for the Benefits Contract Analyst. This individual will report to the Director, Global Benefits and assume broad responsibilities supporting the corporation's benefits contracts in defined benefit, defined contribution and health & welfare plans.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited:

  • Oversee contract development, amendments and management activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
  • Ensure that contracts, amendments and proposal are properly stored in an organized manner and securely maintained.
  • Collaborate with legal to develop standards for contracts including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions.
  • Collaborate with internal multi-functional teams (e.g.: HR, legal, finance, payroll) and external partners to evaluate laws and ordinances pertaining to benefits to recommend necessary changes in existing contracts and creation of new contracts.
  • Ensure that contracts, amendments and proposal are properly stored in an organized manner and securely maintained.
  • Collaborate with legal to develop standards for contracts including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions.
  • Assure accuracy of contract language and appropriateness of contract text.
  • Serve in a support role on RFP and implementation processes.
  • Serve as primary point of contact during contract negotiations.
  • Proactively manage the change control process by maintaining deadlines on deliverables and communicating with the functional leads.
  • Collaborate with the functional leads to ensure the service level agreements are met; report to leadership.
  • Maintain understanding of benefit trends, including regulatory and best practice changes and use the information to identify and recommend streamlined processes, educate team members and submit policy and procedure recommendations to Benefits Director and champion the change management process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or other applicable field of study and a minimum of 10 years of experience and progressive responsibility in the Benefits Contracts or Human Resources.
  • Prior work experience in a managing contract role.
  • Selected candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of employee benefits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills as well as political astuteness.
  • Proven ability to influence and interact effectively across all levels of the organization, particularly at senior leadership levels.
