Associate Engr Matl Process/ Crystal Growth Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Function as Process Owner supporting production of assigned crystal growth process with data collection, process control, designed experiments, process documentation and operator training
  • Design, modify, standardize, improve, and install equipment components for robust control and performance, including full documentation
  • Enhance, troubleshoot and implement mechanical components of manufacturing equipment
  • Work collaboratively with operators and engineers to manage changes to equipment functionality for improved reliability, control, automation and safety
  • Lead teams and be an agent for change in projects and collaborations
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be able to build, modify and troubleshoot electro-mechanical and controls equipment
  • Must be able to design fixtures, components and assembly drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Five years of manufacturing experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Five years of experience with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred
  • A working familiarity with electro-mechanical control systems, PID controls and loops, motors and motor drives
