The Advanced Mission Solutions ES&T team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Systems Engineering 2 based out of Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever AFB).

This management position will be performed in conjunction with a Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program role at Schriever AFB. The successful candidate will already have a current SWDC contract role or have been selected for a contract role.

Responsibilities Include:

- Technical contributor or manager in a Specialized Warfighter Development Contract program role as part of the AMS ES&T management team.
- Functional oversight for a team of systems engineers of varied disciplines.
- Staffing and workload forecasting; employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs.
- Recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, performance management and contract maintenance for contractors working in the business area as required.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or related field discipline (10 years domain/technical experience in lieu of a degree) and a minimum of 6 years related experience; 8 years of related experience with a Masters; 6 years of related experience with a PhD.
  • Must be experienced in all aspects of the engineering development lifecycle
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience in support of software development
  • Proven demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • At least 2 years in a systems engineering technical leadership role
  • Supervisory experience over systems engineers
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • High proficiency of technical problem solving.
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen and have at a minimum an active Secret clearance or higher
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Master of Science in Engineering or other STEM discipline
  • Model and Simulation development experience
  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman engineering and personnel management policies
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience
  • Prior engineering experience in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense System
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
