The Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Systems Engineering 2 based out of Colorado Springs or Schriever AFB, CO.
This management position will be performed in conjunction with a primary role on the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) or as part of an Independent Research and Development (IRAD) project. The successful candidate will already have one of these roles or have been selected for such a role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading Systems Engineering teams.
- Technical contributor or manager as part of SWDC or an IRAD project
- Functional oversight for a team of systems engineers of varied disciplines including goal setting, feedback and performance management
- Staffing and workload forecasting
- Employee inclusion and engagement
- Employee mentoring and career development; employee training and identification and training of skills required to execute on programs.
- Employee recruiting, sourcing, and onboarding
- Bachelors degree and a minimum of 14 years of related experience; 12 years of related experience with a Masters degree
- Must be experienced in broad aspects of the engineering development lifecycle
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Hi gh proficiency of technical problem solving
- Interim DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Master of Science in Engineering or other relevant STEM discipline
- Systems engineering experience in support of software development
- Agile software development experience
- Model and Simulation development experience
- Prior experience as a functional manager / supervisor of technical employees
- Prior engineering experience in support of the Ballistic Missile Defense System
- Current Top Secret / SCI clearance
