Aircraft Mechanic 4

The Aircraft Technician 4 performs diagnosis of system malfunctions, makes repairs, services turboprop and jet aircraft and engine systems in accordance with manufacturer's technical specifications, blue prints, drawings, schematics, engineering instructions, and Federal Aviation Administration regulations in our corporate flight department based at Los Angeles Int'l Airport (LAX)

In addition, the Aircraft Technician 4 will:

  • Maintain required FAA records, manuals, inspection forms, and other forms of technical data, both in paper and computer-based formats
  • Lead task teams on aircraft maintenance projects
  • Represent the Repair Station during off-site aircraft maintenance performed by various vendors to include maintenance and inspection oversight and required internal auditing of assigned vendors
  • Supervise and instruct less experienced technicians when performing tasks of an in-depth nature
  • Provide away-from-home-station trouble shooting and travel to make minor repairs of assigned aircraft
  • Provide maintenance support at remote sites during senior leadership level meetings
  • Tow, load/unload, launch, recover, inspect and service department aircraft
  • Perform Shift Supervisor functions when called upon in the absence of the Supervisor/Mgr

This position will be assigned to 2nd Shift (1300 - 2130), Monday through Friday, and will require the ability to work flexible hours in support of the Flight Schedule. This position will work overtime, alternate scheduling and weekends as needed to support the operation.

Basic Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School/GED diploma
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft
  • Outstanding communication skills, the ability to function within a team-oriented environment and work flexible hours
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates
  • State Issued Driver's License
  • Ability to secure and maintain airport issued security badge w/background check
  • Ability to secure and maintain a gov't issued passport
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Computerized Maintenance Tracking programs (Cescom, CMP, etc)
  • Be able to pass an Initial & Random DOT drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Factory level maintenance training and experience on Beechcraft King Air 200/300 series aircraft
  • Factory level maintenance training and experience on Citation 680/680 series aircraft
  • FAA Inspection Authorization certification
  • Prior FAA Part 145 Repair Station and Part 135 Air Carrier experience
  • 10 - 12 years corporate turboprop and jet aircraft maintenance experience - an Avionics background is especially desired
  • AA Degree or higher in a related aeronautical discipline
  • 8 - 10 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of turbine-powered aircraft
