Responsible for all aircraft low observable outer mold line structures, materials and applications. Prepares composite or metallic surfaces for coating applications by performing various operations such as sanding, stripping, applying vacuum, performing porosity testing, masking and other preparation tasks. Mixes and applies sealants, gap fillers and any other required processes prior to paint which may require the use of heating devices. Mixes and applies paints and other coatings at the proper spraying consistency. Applies additional surface details to manufacturer specifications. Performs or coordinates component-level testing for specification compliance after applications have been completed. May perform similar duties in aircraft build, modification or maintenance role.Basic Qualifications:

Requires minimum of high school plus 2 years additional related education and 3 years of related experience, or 5 years of applicable aircraft low observable/structural experience. Strong understanding of concepts applicable to aircraft structural manufacture and low observable repair is required. Must be able to work from blueprint drawings, apply specifications and achieve close tolerances with strict quality oversight. DOD Secret security clearance is a requirement for employment; must meet and maintain eligibility for additional clearances for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree in an applicable field. B-2 field level or depot level maintenance experience, or similar experience on other stealth platforms. Other applicable aircraft skills and certifications would be a plus. Familiarity with USAF technical orders and aircraft forms is preferred.
