Administrative Assistant 4

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Virginia Integration Center (VIC), a specialty engineering lab located in Fairfax, VA. The selected candidate will provide direct support to customers, industry partners, Northrop Grumman engineering professionals, and Northrop Grumman senior leaders that use the various resources of the VIC. The successful applicant will have strong administrative skills and clerical experience.

Administrative duties will include:

  • Manage visitor control
  • Answer general inquiries from various users of the VIC
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and events within the VIC
  • Organize, maintain, and de-conflict the VIC's multiple event calendars
  • Coordinate and schedule travel arrangements for staff
  • Utilize company credit card and purchasing system to place orders on behalf of staff
  • Submit expense reports and track payments
  • Work with the local infrastructure and facilities teams to organize and maintain the VIC facility

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, plus 4 to 6 years of experience in Business or related field
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Skilled user of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge regarding how to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and discretion
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be a US citizen and with current/active TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with Northrop Grumman tools such as Concur
