Admin Functional Support 4
Performs variety of activities in support of functional areas such as finance, purchasing, documentation editing, data collection for an engineering technical unit. Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources. Compiles, reviews and analyzes data. Uses software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations. May design processes to enhance work flow. Provides data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures.
We are looking for a team member to help support our radio engineering skill center for a variety of programs and tasks. You will work with varies fellow employees determining purchasing needs and you will need to be able to effectively source, purchase and reconcile the orders. You cannot be timid about following up with engineers and vendors when questions/issues come up. Still, you will be expected work fairly independently.
Additional jobs involving document editing, lab organization, and engineering administrative assistance will be required at times. There are other growth opportunities in the future including system administrative tools, design drafting tools, and other various support disciplines to the development organization.
High School diploma and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
Microsoft Office Tools (Specifically Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Demonstrated in work history or schooling leadership skills/certificates, communications skills/certificates
Demonstrated in work history or schooling that they can successfully "restore order to chaos", which can include successfully organizing events, effective file/item management (both virtual as well as physical)
Demonstrated in work history or schooling document editing skills, understanding of grammar, ability to write effectively
Accounting Skills (able to keep track of spending and reconcile accounts)
Willingness to make phone calls and coordinate with employees/external vendors
Hard working and awesome attitude!
Experience working with technical groups in an administrative role, Understanding of general engineering topics such as components, software tools, and hands-on lab experience
