Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Intern in the area of Non-destructive Evaluation/Inspection. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of duties in the NDI Laboratory related to Nondestructive Inspections (NDI).

Help develop NDI laboratory inspection techniques, including ultrasonics, thermography, shearography, and other disciplines.

Construct, troubleshoot, and test laboratory equipment and scan setups.

Assist in nondestructive inspections of aerospace composite materials.

Assist with NDI data analysis, presentation/report generation, and publications.

Basic Qualifications:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026 AND graduate after August 2026.

Be majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree with a minor or emphasis on non-destructive evaluation (NDE).

Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.

Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher

Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & team-work capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Intern Pay Range

Undergraduate Degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master's program): $17.75 to $32.75 per hour

* Master's: $25.50 to $40.50 per hour
