Northrop Grumman is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join the Technology Services Sector Intern Program. This position will be located in San Bernardino, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mechanical Engineering Homeroom supporting multiple programs (e.g. GSSC, GBSD, and others). The selected candidate will work in a fast paced collaborative work environment that is both challenging and rewarding.

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Mechanical engineering specializations that may include the following roles and responsibilities:

Computer Aided Design of Structure and Subsystems
Solid Rocket Propulsion Analysis
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Structural Analysis (Loads Development, FEA, Detailed Stress & Stability)
Basic Qualifications:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2019
Be majoring in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2019
Have an activeU.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
Experience with NX CAD
Course work in one or more of the following areas: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Propulsion, Finite Element Analysis, and or Composites.
Experience working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
