Northrop Grumman is seeking a summer intern to join the Enterprise Services Intern Program. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Information Technology Solutions Program Management Office in support of the Aerospace Systems Advanced Research area. We support engineers with the software and resources that they need to do their jobs.

The selected candidate will help shape the strategy around what software tools are deployed to our engineers, assist in major software platform upgrades, and coordinate the funding for IT engineers that support that large software portfolio on a day-to-day basis.

As an intern, you'll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of systems, software, electrical and mechanical engineering specializations that may include:

Roles and Responsibilities

Service Request Process Management Work with technical team and users to understand process, advocate for additional deployment of tool set, and define process improvements.
Incident Management Assist technical team with prioritization and communication related to service requests and incidents.
Equipment and Software Forecasting Work with technical team and users to develop initial software forecast for 2019. Research and summarize usage levels within key programs.
Proposal Development Support Provide support to the PMO and ES proposal team developing proposals for ES support of Applied Research and Technology Development projects and proposals.
General Support Provide general support to the PMO team.

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2019.
Be majoring in any technology or engineering related discipline
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2019
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Ability to understand technical requests and identify improvements in the context of desktop and server environments
Communicates well with technical and non-technical staff across technology tools and within the business construct

Preferred Qualifications:
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).
Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
Windows Server or Red Hat Administration Experience
