Northrop Grumman offers a challenging rotational program in Business Management for candidates with a Bachelor's and/or Masters degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Business, Supply Chain/Procurement, or other related fields.

The Professional Development Program - Business Management offers the opportunity to experience several different job assignments before making a commitment to remain in a particular position. Requirements for this Program include an overall GPA of 3.25 /4.0 or higher; U.S. citizenship is required. Opportunities are located in several Northrop Grumman locations, including, but not limited to: Falls Church, VA, El Segundo, CA, Irving, TX, Linthicum, MD and Melbourne, FL.

Our Business Operations and Services rotations include experiences in Rates & Budgets, Software Support Services, Customer Facing Business Management, Procurement, and others (International, Estimating & Pricing, Subcontracts, etc.). These opportunities will expose you to various functions within the full life cycle of business management and supply chain functions supporting enterprise shared services.

The Rates & Budgets rotation involves support to monthly cost reporting, quarterly Indicated Final (IF) and annual plan development for value delivery, the ESS metric for cost efficiency and avoidance. This includes collecting inputs from stakeholders, consolidating data, managing templates, preparing executive level presentations and performing variance analysis. Candidate will also support reporting and forecasting in the ESS rate model, the consolidated cost model that tracks the ESS delivery cost flow from booking to billing.

The Software Support Services rotations will involve performing detailed labor analysis for homeroom organizations with focus on applications engineering. Work will center on resource planning applications and data mining.

During a Customer Facing Business Management rotation candidates will perform duties associated with end to end material planning including detailed analysis and reporting in support of material management with focus on generating maintenance renewals, Purchase Order (PO) closeout and de-obligations, reporting and cost distribution. Candidates will also work with procurement to help expedite material purchases.

The Supply Chain / Procurement rotation is for candidates with career interests in Supply Chain Management will be given the opportunity to participate in multiple assignments which may include General Procurement, Small Business Administration, Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning Analyst, and others.

Differentiating characteristics include: internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communications skills, and activities (professional/community/ extracurricular).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates, regardless of age, must be within one (1) year of obtaining their degree (Bachelor's, Master's or PhD) from an accredited institution in one of the following disciplines: Accounting, Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, International Business, Supply Chain/Procurement, or other related discipline.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a US government issued security clearance. U.S Citizenship is required
  • Proficiency using MS Office
  • 3.25 GPA or higher
