2016/17 New Grad - Aerospace & Mechanical and Product Lifecycle Management

Northrop Grumman offers a challenging opportunities for Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering new/recent graduates in our Enterprise Services sector.

Our Mechanical Engineering Support Analyst position supports production Mechanical Engineering application instances throughout the Northrop Grumman enterprise. The position requires developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of current application portfolio and the technical needs of program and functional end-users. This includes development of automation scripting and code, as well as addressing end-user incidents and requests for assistance within agreed service level guidance in support of business and IT priorities. THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS SUPPORT ANALYST OPPORTUNITIES WILL NOT INCLUDE DESIGN WORK.

Mechanical Engineering Support Analyst responsibilities may include:

  • End-user technical support of mechanical engineering applications including, but not limited to Siemens NX, CAD, CAE, CFD, and mechanical engineering analysis applications in development and production environments.
  • Perform root cause analysis, debugging problems within the CAD/CAE environment and working with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor, address, and resolve production CAD/CAE environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc., collaboratively with other support teams.
  • Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting CAD/CAE instances.
  • Support SIT and UAT with business users as necessary.
  • Provide demos to users as and when required.
  • Prepare training material and arrange training sessions for business users.
  • Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live and in production.

The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Support Analyst position supports production Teamcenter instances throughout the Northrop Grumman enterprise. Supports, maintains, and/or resolves incidents on enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system maintenance and upgrade deployments as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Provides operational end user support, guidance, and incident management to agreed service levels. Performs or supports testing and maintenance of system corrections.

Responsibilities include providing IT-focused end-user support in areas of best practice development, operations support, and problem resolution for the engineering community and serving as a Subject Matter Expert in Siemens products including Teamcenter Unified. This includes addressing end-user incidents and requests for assistance within agreed service level guidance in support of business and IT priorities.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Support Analyst responsibilities may include:

  • End-user support of TeamCenter PLM software including, but not limited to TcU, Multi-CAD Data Management, Integrations, ProductData/Change/Document Management, Account Management, and Workflows in production environments.
  • Perform root cause analysis, debugging problems with the Teamcenter environment, and then work with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor, address, and resolve Teamcenter production environment incidents, service requests, workflows, client install packages, etc., collaboratively with the PLM development and administration teams.
  • Document all aspects of system support such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting Teamcenter.
  • Support SIT and UAT with business users as necessary.
  • Provide demos to users as and when required.
  • Prepare training material and arrange training sessions for business users.
  • Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live and in production.

This is a pipeline staffing requisition to source qualified talent for 2016/2017 academic school year. Opportunities are subject to business needs and location – direct entry level and rotation opportunities may also be available.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates, regardless of age, must be pursuing or have obtained their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution within one (1) year in
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Travel will be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.25 GPA or higher
  • Product Lifecycle Management emphasis
