Senior Electrical Engineer

As a Senior Electrical Engineer for Nike Smart Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for architecting and developing innovative, adaptive products that help make athletes better. In this role, you will work closely with various functional teams, including Design, Product Innovation, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 6 years of work experience in electrical/electronic design engineering.
- 4+ years of electrical engineering experience in the consumer electronics or medical industry is highly preferred
- Works with Engineers, Designers, Innovators, and Product Management to architect and realize intent, manufacturability, and experience design of electro-mechanical systems.
- Uses concept sketches, engineering design/ideas, and other communication methods to assure clear understanding of technological capabilities and limitations.
- Creates specifications and quotation documentation in order to lead external professional services firms (domestic and international), factories, and component vendors to create prototypes, proof-of-concepts, commercialization process, and maintenance of consumer electronic products. Strong understanding and leading of electrical system architecture design required.
- Ability to create prototypes for quick strike innovation products
- Must be well versed in low-power electrical system design.
- Experience providing layout guidelines for PCB engineering team, including signal integrity and RF layout instruction.
- Knowledge and design in the following areas required: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wireless recharging Qi/A4WP, Sensors and MEMs devices, Embedded micro-controller experience (16/32-bit), USB and other standard communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Expertise in high-volume new-product-introduction (NPI) including overseeing line setup, flow, test limits and end-to-end electrical/electronic quality management is a plus.
- High-level understanding of adjacent technical disciplines (mechanical and firmware engineering) required.
- Standards and compliance knowledge for NPI preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Available for late-afternoon/evening conference calls.
