Senior Backend Engineer

Nike Digital is looking for exceptional software developers to build out the next generation of consumer facing services.

These services will continue to expand our digital footprint. In this role, you will work closely with the product team to design and build the features that matter most to our consumers.

You must be self-driven, handle ambiguity and expect challenges. We are looking for someone whobelieves in TDD, contract first and automate everything.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science
  • At least 3 years experience in similar role
  • Continuous Delivery
  • Domain Driven Design
  • Hands on AWS experience with at a minimum the following services
  • Experience and knowledge of Dynamo, EC2, S3, TDD
  • Java 1.8 including experience with monads/functional programming
  • Spring Boot
  • Experience with serverless is a huge plus
  • Build Tools such as gradle/mvn
  • HTTP including knowledge of headers and verbs
  • API development including semantic versioning
  • Distributed source control such as git
  • Distributed computing with an emphasis on service discovery, circuit breaking and routing
  • Browser based development is a nice to have
  • Proficiency in English
  • SDLC with experience in Scrum
  • Prefer candidates that have production applications written in more than one programming language, E.G. polyglot developers
  • Prefer candidates that have worked on eCommerce for a consumer product company
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment
