As a Solution Architect for the Enterprise Architecture team, you will elevate the teams responsible for architecting and evangelizing the future platform for Nike's global sport ecosystem of product, experiences, community and commerce.
We are seeking a high-performing Solution Architect to lead best practices for our e-commerce cloud platform. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching developers to continuously elevate their engineering skills to deliver innovative and high-quality services that enable our cloud teams to build capabilities in a consistent, maintainable and highly-scalable manner. You'll lead by example, evangelize our Agile culture, and be an advocate of new technology and development techniques. The successful candidate is a proven architect with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

• 8 years software development experience
• 2 years acting in an architecture or lead role
• Strong skills building positive customer relationships
• Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure, etc.)
• Experience in NoSQL data stores, such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar technologies.
• Prior experience in designing and implementing highly-scalable web applications
• Diverse and deep experience in micro service architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful Services, using languages such as Java, Node, Scala, or Rust
• Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
• Strong understanding of DevOps preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Commitment to and hands-on experience in performing technical code reviews
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as negotiation and diplomacy skills in order to work effectively with both business and technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area. Extensive professional experience accepted in lieu of degree
