Mexico Pricing Lead

Mission: In this role you will help drive the evolution of pricing at Nike. As the Mexico Pricing Lead within Merchandising Business Operations, you will help to develop forward-thinking pricing strategies that will optimize Nike's consumer value-based pricing approach and drive margin expansion for the Nike brand. You will be responsible for adapting and driving the Global Pricing vision and strategy within Mexico through partnerships with key leaders locally and at WHQ. You will partner with Mexico Merchandising, Finance and Sales to formulate strategies, conduct analytics, communicate recommendations, and drive meaningful and sustainable change. As the primary link between our Global, broader Asia Pacific / Latin America, and specific local pricing structures, you will have to manage multiple perspectives to drive what is right for the Nike Brand. You will be responsible for influencing leadership in Mexico on pricing decisions and strategies. You will partner with a cross-functional team to help develop processes, best practices and tools that support Nike's pricing strategies. Core Responsibilities: Translate Nike's Global price architecture into local currency for the Mexico marketplace Elevate the Pricing function locally through partnership with the leadership team and key cross-functional stakeholders Lead on-going pricing activities in partnership with Merchandising, Finance, and Sales including price architecture sharing, local pricing analytics, and pricing trainings, Collaborate with operational teams located both locally and at Nike WHQ to ensure pricing decisions are timely and accurately managed in core Nike systems Conduct competitor analysis (both digitally and on-the-ground in retail stores) and develop pricing insights to inform decision-making and to share with the broader organization Execute locally against the centralized vision, landing the Global pricing strategy while honoring existing pricing nuances already in the marketplace Partner with Finance on price projections/targets and improve processes to enhance profitability Proactively manage communication with cross-functional partners to support execution of pricing strategy/vision Provide feedback on pricing tools/templates to maximize local usefulness and relevance Qualifications: Graduate Business degree or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge preferred Bachelor's degree with a major in Economics, Statistics, Business, Psychology, or Math 5-7 years' experience ( 15 years in lieu of a degree) in Pricing, Statistics, Economics, Management Consulting, Strategic Planning, Market Research or a related field Able to interact and persuade individuals at levels senior to him or her, as well as actively participate in meetings and group discussions with individuals from various parts of the organization (e.g., Sales, Merchandising, Finance) Ability to conduct and/or analyze research related to consumers, industries, and competitors Demonstrated significant initiative, tenacity, and leadership Self-starter, motivated individual that is comfortable with ambiguity Effective team player Proficiency in Excel and Power Point required Travel Requirement : 10% of time
