Nike, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Craft new technologies for brand-new models. Curate and elevate existing materials for NIKE classics and iconic products. Conceptualize and finalize tech packs and work with manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of intent and materials executions. Directly communicate with athletes to gain feedback on material designs. Participate in multiple seasonal projects with challenging resources and deadlines. Create and edit files using Adobe programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Present new insights and seasonal concepts to small and large groups. Build 3D samples and craft mockup samples by hand. Explore new materials innovations and technologies and ideas. Up to 15% international travel is required.
Applicant must have a Master's degree in Business Administration, Graphic Design, or Fashion and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a materials design-related occupation. Experience must include:
- Competitive landscape research and analysis;
- Emerging design trends analysis and relevant application;
- Material design creation;
- Sample making or prototype development;
- Materials or textile construction & manufacturing;
- Adobe software, such as, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop;
- Design concept creation offering aesthetics and functionality;
- Digital and physical material & color creative narratives and strategy
