Lead Product Manager - Product Experience

Purpose: An experience design leader in overseeing complex or large projects. Meaningfully contributes to inspiring and actionable consumer-led strategies for how the product portfolio can be leveraged to create a holistic, integrated offering in the market. Focuses on how digital tools, operational excellence, brand, marketing, and the built environment all harmonize together to create frictionless, brand-defining experiences at retail.

Leadership
- Excels in prioritization of which consumer journeys will drive the most value to the business, based on insights from qualitative research studies, data and analytics, and aligns with product roadmaps
- Demonstrates ability to influence and provide strategic input to the product roadmap
- Mentors and develops more junior talent.
- Accountable for planning and supporting the development of experience design systems.
- Works with a significant degree of autonomy, seeking support and guidance only on an exception basis.
- Manages key stakeholder relationships (internal and external)

Research
- Briefs and conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis of new/emerging consumer experiences across the in addition to those deployed in the market
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of qualitative research methodologies
- Defines experience research benchmarks, partners across the organization to conduct research, and feeds results back into the development and refinement of the overall consumer experience
- Deconstructs challenging and complex competitor offerings, typically leading other team members in the effort, and gleans and shares insights with relevant Nike communities.
- Subject matter expert in the design processes that are needed to support their experiences or the business processed that the associated product(s) supports

Consumer Empathy
- Generates value-added product portfolio improvements through structured brainstorming session
- Participates in design reviews to ensure consistent application of UX/UI, content, and intent are aligning across all experiences
Iteratively works across product, design, and engineering to ensure expected outcomes.
- Partners closely with the design team to ensure the UX/UI of all digital experiences are integrated into the broader consumer experience

- Has demonstrated consumer experience design expertise in previous roles that have added significant value to the consumer and business.
- Has contribute to a long term vision of a product or multiple products in a portfolio.
- Possesses keen business insight, able to identify and articulate the business impact of proposed experience systems and how they contribute to Nike's core business operation.
- Is conversant in current technologies platforms and can comfortably partner with product and engineering to ensure proposed systems are viable and leverage in-market systems and those in development
- Has experience leading, training, and mentoring junior staff.
Advocates, sustains, and imparts an in-depth understanding of emerging trends and competitor strategies across multiple industries
- Consistently seeks, develops, and demonstrates a thorough understanding of adjacent Nike products and services
