Global Real Estate Operations Director

As our Global Real Estate Operations Director, you will lead and coordinate the development of new real estate capabilities, processes, and frameworks. This includes driving the evolution of optimal real estate structures, optimization of existing portfolio, elevating key partnerships, and driving location strategies within the context of a rapidly changing marketplace.

The Global Director specifically develops, designs and influences the strategy, implementation and organizational direction for the following Global and Geography functions: new store pipeline standards and processes; REC life cycle review and approval standards and processes; partner management; deal approval processes and standards; Fleet Review standards and processes; training, use and leverage of all global database real estate management tools. Sets the best practice standards for and influences the global work-stream process between lease acquisition, finance, operations, lease administration and store construction.

This role facilitates the framework for elevating NIKE's partnerships with landlords, retailers, real estate firms, and other industry partners to develop a comprehensive foundation of real estate at Nike. The Global Director will lead the foundational work for NikeDirect new store & re-investment cases through marketplace impact projections. The role will leverage global market mapping tools to develop frameworks and incorporate internal and external data sources; Support, drive and manage the rollout of new global marketplace tools & vendor support; Analyze complex data to identify trends to form actionable solutions. It is critical to demonstrate enterprise thinking and influence to create and operationalize strategic solutions.

Portfolio strategy and vision: Create and effectively champion a data-driven and market-informed real estate vision and strategy that puts our consumer and athlete needs at the center.

Leadership: Partner to set the strategic direction for our bricks & mortar retail portfolio. Articulate the consumer and business value to all levels of the organization. Develop compelling presentations to communicate opportunities. Develop and nurture successful relationships with senior Nike leadership.

Industry Analysis: Continuously monitor and share emerging trends, competitive experiences and best-of-breed physical retail executions.

Culture & Drive: Help build a product culture based on data-driven decisions. Work with leadership and business teams to derive consumer analytics and insights strategy for investment decisions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years Real Estate Operations, retail strategy or related experience
    • 2 additional years required in lieu of a degree
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of customer service aptitude
  • Proven experience working with multiple project and business deadlines
  • Exercising high degree of professionalism and communication with confidential information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks through prioritization of workload
