As general accountant you make an impact by working for three entities: Nike Retail Sweden, Nike Retail Denmark and Nike Sweden:
- Month end deliveries (including balance sheet reconciliation, month end bookings and checks);
- Co-operate with our extended team in India regarding financial entries, reconciliations, analysis, and deliverable;
- Provide month end and quarter end support to the Finance team, including preparation of journals, prepayments and accruals;
- General accounting (Accounts receivable, electronic bank entries, intercompany invoicing, accounting re-classes);
- Taking part in internal and external audits, also including SOX-related work duties, as well as assisting with all internal audits from our European or Global head offices;
- Support payroll vendor with information;
- Analysis of OPEX for both Retail and Wholesale business;
- As a part of the Nike Sweden finance team participate in various task and ad hoc projects on daily basis;
- Understand financial policies, procedures and systems to ensure business compliance with internal Nike Corporate policies, SOX compliance and external statutory reporting requirements as necessary;
- Provide support to the Sweden Accounting Manager with multiple ongoing and ad hoc accounting projects;
- Cover for Accounting Manager in periods of holiday and absence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting or similar, with minimum 3 years' work experience;
- Strong understanding of accounting and good knowledge of Excel;
- Good knowledge of Tax and Local Statutory requirements represents an advantage;
- Previous experience with SAP or another ERP package is seen as a merit;
- Excellent communicator, with very strong English skills, written and spoken;
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving and changing environment;
- High integrity, transparency and confidence.
