Education and Communications Manager - Global Intellectual Property

As the Global IP Education and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for (1) the development of and systems of delivery for the IP education program; and (2) communications related to IP strategy and initiatives. This role requires strong storytelling skills through simple, impactful design and proven project management skills. This role will collaborate across Nike's IP team and key business partners including Communications, Innovation, and Design.

Key Responsibilities

Education

  • Build, maintain and refresh the current Global IP education program messages, modules and creative assets to be delivered or otherwise communicated by the IP team
  • Design simple, easy to understand, and impactful education materials consistent with the aesthetic of Nike's brand.
  • Manage the Global IP education project team, including assessment of training opportunities, strategic cross-functional alignment and business-facing communication needs
  • Track and continually report progress on education.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate IP education messages through Nike communication channels such as the all-employee website and functional websites (Innovation, Design)


Communications and Strategy Support
  • Directly support the Chief IP Officer and the IP Leadership Team in clear and impactful communication of Nike's IP strategy and key initiatives to various audiences, including senior executives.
  • Design simple, easy to understand and impactful communications consistent with the aesthetic of Nike's brand.
  • Provide critical project management and operational support to execute the Chief IP Office strategy.
  • Collaborate with IP teams to develop communications plans and rollout strategies for key business-facing initiatives
  • Create and maintain a document repository for key IP portfolio information and substantive highlights to provide to Government and Public Affairs and other external communications efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to integrate IP messages into key Corporate, Innovation & Design stories and events



Qualifications
  • Experience developing and managing education/training programs.
  • Ability to take complex concepts and information and simplify the messaging for a general audience through impactful and creative stories, text and design.
  • Strong design skills that are consistent with Nike's brand aesthetic
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint, Keynote, MS Project, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with creating and maintaining reporting information.
  • Strong presentation, collaboration, and facilitation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to manage professional services (vendors and vendor contracts)
  • Previous Nike experience a plus
