Director Product Management Merchandising and Digital GTM

The EMEA Technology team needs a strong Director Product Management with experience working in an agile environment, who's focus will be to deliver the right solution to customers with the highest quality and shortest lead time. In partnership with Architects, Business Stakeholders, Customers, and the development team you will create the Product/solution vision and be responsible for the strategy feature definition, and roadmap of a product while mentoring and developing a team of direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and serve as primary contact in EMEA for Merchandising and Digital GTM Business Stakeholders in the function and Global Counterparts
  • Create an inspiring vision and long-term strategy for critical products whose success will have a substantial impact on the business.
  • Ensure that your product strategies align with other products and with Nike's goal and objectives.
  • Ensure development teams have the full context and understanding of customers and business problems and/or opportunities to create valuable solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the development teams to optimize successful outcomes for the products.
  • Develop and conducts data analysis activities and the assessment of product performance.
  • Ensure Program priorities have necessary funding and assess, measures and ensure quality of the full product ROI/P&L.
  • Own the vision & strategy of all EMEA Merchandising and Digital GTMproducts
  • Develops and nurtures a successful relationship with senior business stakeholders.
  • Define initiatives and manage and prioritize the program backlog on an ongoing basis
  • Understand current and future customer needs, define features, determine success criteria, validate solutions, and evaluate customer satisfaction
  • Build an effective Product Manager team and/or community of practice and partnership with stakeholders.
  • Promotes agile way of working, team empowerment, cross-team, and cross-organizational knowledge-sharing
  • Briefs the design team on the UX needs of the products and iteratively works with the designers to reach the expected outcome.

Qualifications

  • Expert in product management and understanding of the Agile principles and methodologies and how they're applied in a workplace culture ( SCRUM, LEAN, Kanban, XP programming, Dual Track Agile etc)
  • Demonstrates knowledge of new technologies such as IA and Machine Learning
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Strong servant leader, coaching and enabling own and other teams to successfully drive business outcomes.
  • Experience with product engineering, development teams
  • Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, VersionOne preferred
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience with minimal Bachelor's degree, of which 2 years in the role of a senior or lead product manager

  • In-depth knowledge of the relation between business process and the Products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally
