Director of DevOps & Tooling

As a Director DevOps & Tooling, you will be part of a highly visible, strategic team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands. The successful candidate will:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Leads DevOps & Tooling development for the Enterprise Platform teams; including Public Cloud Deployment, Infrastructure as Code, Resource Metering, SDLC Tools, Continuous Deployment and Runtime Tooling
• Works closely with Business and Technology executives to develop platforms vision, strategy and execution plans that are aligned with business outcomes.
• Leads modern operational tooling for both Nike Developers and Enterprise Platform operational strategies.
• Responsible for financial management of DevOps & Tooling Platform portfolio.
• Ensures team is leveraging Nike's Technology delivery methodology to develop platform products.
• Stays current with industry trends and leads development of key DevOps, Runtime, and Operational innovation platforms.
• Partners with Reference Architecture to ensure architectural consistency across all platforms.
• Accountable for growing & developing Enterprise Platform technology by attracting top industry talent.
• Develops DevOps & Tooling Platforms annual operating plans.
• Develops and manages team metrics.
• Contributes to cross-team Enterprise Platforms domain-mapping and strategy.
• Ensures the technical team aligns with architectural standards, documentation and operational strategy alongside peers.


Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 7+ years' experience leading and managing large-scale teams building and operating large scale platforms or services.
• Proven track record in developing technology strategy and vision
• Extensive background in working with business partners in the areas of software development, APIs, integrations and service deployment.
• Proven track record of being results orientated with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals.
• Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
• Proven experience working in an Agile Development environment.
• Must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on ability to collaborate with others.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
• Demonstration of strong influencing skills
