Director North America Digital Commerce Merchandising

As our Director, North America Digital Commerce Merchandising, you'll be responsible for all visual merchandising for Nike.com, Nike app and SNKRS app in the United States, our largest market. You'll bring to life our product assortment, delivering a digital shopping experience that drives sales, conversion, ease of experience and ultimately consumer satisfaction. You'll will partner with the Digital Merchant and Brand & Marketing teams to create and execute seasonal merchandising strategies and help bring the Nike brand to life with best in class end to end consumer journeys across all the digital platforms. You'll also be responsible for leading and inspiring the Site Merchandising team who will own the daily curation and optimization across the digital platforms. This position reports directly into the .Com/Platform lead and will be a key voice within the NA.com Leadership team to continuously advocate to best in class consumer experience.

You will:

  • Drive collaborative partnerships with Merchandising, Planning, Operations and Brand & Marketing to deliver best in class end to end consumer journeys across all of Nike's digital platforms (Desktop, mobile and all apps)
  • Responsible for launching and optimizing the digital seasonal assortments by gender, category and cross category experiences
  • Support all Platform leads in their vision to drive results, test and learn and deliver flawless execution
  • Leverage qualitative & quantitative tools to monitor and continually improve the quality of the site experience
  • Push and support a constant test and learn environment leveraging insights, data and influencing partners
  • Continuously provide insights and actions to optimize and improve the site experience to drive conversion, sales and compelling experiences
  • Manage the Go to Market calendar with cross functional teams to ensure partnership, communication and alignment before launches
  • Lead and manage a diverse Site Merchandising team to set a vision, instill a passion for driving results, and a continued focus on career development


Requirements for this position include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Liberal Arts
  • At least 10 years' experience in merchandising/visual merchandising in a large-scale, brand-driven digital commerce environment
  • At least 5 years' experience in leadership roles: setting & executing strategy, driving results and building and managing teams
  • Thorough understanding of online merchandising behaviors, trends, best practices and benchmarks
  • Familiarity with current online technologies & best practices, including web analytics, A/B testing & automated product recommendations
  • Experience in digital retailing, ideally apparel
  • Experience working with leading brand(s)
