Director, NA Digital Merchandising & Seasonal Planning

Our Director, Digital Merchandising & Seasonal Planning North America will blend site merchandising and operations skills and with a buying and planning toolset and strong knowledge of digital business drivers to bring the Converse product to life for our consumer. Responsibilities:

As a key member of the North American Digital Commerce team you are responsible for developing our seasonal product plans and bringing it to life with a goal of maximizing sell through and profitability. You will blend art and science to deliver seasonal strategies that align with business goals and target consumers. In this role you will:

  • Lead the buying, planning and allocation teams for converse.com, driving high sell-through, profitability & inventory efficiencies
  • Build assortment plans and strategies that support financial goals and brand objectives
  • Lead a team of site merchandisers tasked with bringing our seasonal assortments to life - leveraging digital tools to convert consumer demand
  • Align with global product and digital teams on key stories, driving a strong perspective for support needed to drive North American business
  • Drive seasonal product operations & planning - partnering with marketing to maximize consumer touchpoints
  • Partner with marketing and site experience team to drive effective sell-through strategies
  • Understand the digital landscape for both Converse and competitors - building assortments and site merchandising to support demand creation and sell through
  • Deliver a strong perspective on product content and leverage data to make improvements
  • Plan a business that aligns with our site experience and meets the demands of our target consumers.
  • Think about the future while driving success in the present with a hands-on approach and high-level of ownership

Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in a fast-paced digital commerce environment - preferably with a large brand
  • Leadership in the retail merchandising function for a digital business - including, buying, planning, allocations & site merchandising.
  • Strong financial competencies in modelling and forecasting
  • Experience with content management systems and product attribution and search tools
  • Experience with Demandware (or similar) and third-party site merchandising tools
  • Proficiency with Omniture with an ability to self-serve to draw insights for action - driving a data-driven approach to site merchandising
  • Passion for leadership and culture development
  • Outstanding team leader & player with a positive attitude. Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
