Director, Experience Science, NikeDirect Global

We are a growing team responsible for building a holistic view of Nike's consumers through data and analytics, and applying those insights to inform the development and growth of Nike's digital commerce services and experiences for our consumers.

We are looking for a world-class expert in using data and analytics to lead the teams responsible for understanding the consumer journey and identifying and optimizing the impact of marketing, merchandizing, and user experience changes on Nike's digital commerce touchpoints, including Nike.com, SNKRS app, and the Nike app.

The ideal candidate will have a background in quantitative measurement and attribution methods, including experience analyzing consumer behavior within digital commerce experiences (ideally including mobile apps) and working with integrated digital marketing and technology teams to foster consumer centric and data-driven decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Shaping research and analytic plans, developing appropriate quantitative methodologies, and driving the execution of digital product and consumer analytics from end-to-end
• Proposing, defining, and executing measurement methods to translate business goals into KPIs

• Presentation of research results to business stakeholders

• Establishing standards and benchmarks for measuring and valuing the impact of changes to digital product features, merchandizing, and other elements of the experience
• Integrating qualitative and quantitative findings to define complete profile of digital consumer needs and identify business opportunities
• Participating in and injecting consumer knowledge across Nike's digital commerce operations


Qualifications
Education:
• Degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, econometrics, applied math, or behavioral sciences
• Advanced degree a plus but not required

Experience:
• 8+ years' overall experience
• 5+ years' experience performing quantitative analysis on digital commerce or digital marketing experiences
• Experience leading a team of analysts in a digital or commerce role is a plus
• Experience creating and delivering presentations that translate advanced analyses to business results

Required Skills:
• Strong experience using analytics and consumer research to understand digital consumer behavior and identify opportunities to accelerate growth
• Deep familiarity with data & measurement techniques applied to business opportunities for mobile web, mobile app, and digital commerce settings, including testing and optimization capabilities
• Fluency in a Hadoop query language (MapReduce, Hive, SQL, etc.) or similar experience in analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets
• Experience with a statistical tool or package is a plus (such as R, Python, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• A history of using analytics to define and lead strategy within the digital product space
• An understanding the current digital product landscape, particularly iOS and Android apps is a plus
