Digital Marketing Manager Affiliates

The Digital Marketing Manager - Affiliates for Nike EMEA is a strategic role for a leader able to drive our Affiliates program, to connect with our consumers and accelerate the digital commerce business while also supporting our strategic brand objectives.

You will be a member of the EMEA Integrated Media team, driving the program across our EMEA markets. You are expected to have experience managing a sizeable multi-market affiliate program, and have a passion for using data to provide digital marketing thought leadership, innovation, and tactical optimizations. As part of your role, you will be involved in ensuring that our Nike Digital Commerce campaigns are truly amplifying our key Nike sports moments, athletes, product launches and commercial opportunities.

An advanced knowledge on end-to-end delivery in the Affiliates channel is key to elevate the Affiliate program and required for this role. This ranges from strategic planning through activations, and includes areas such as optimization strategies, CPA vs tenancy trade-offs, and differentiation based on type of publisher.

This position requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong technical and analytical skills, high detail-orientation and excellent written and verbal communication.It also expects thoughtfulness about the consumer and understanding of the value of a premium consumer experience.

At Nike, working in strong collaboration is a critical skill and this role is no different. You'll manage a team of specialists and interns and work closely with our agencies, Integrated Media & Analytics teams, Digital Tech Teams, and Category and Territory Marketing Teams to define affiliate strategies in line with Nike goals.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Best-in-class Affiliates strategy, planning & execution

  • Manage and oversee the Affiliate Marketing Channel across 39 countries with support of a dedicated Affiliate Marketing team
  • Define channel strategy, develop plans & tactics to support growth targets
  • Drive revenue, achieve targeted ROI, and maintain positive KPI trends by monitoring affiliate activity, analysing performance and optimizing continuously
  • Manage the budget according to performance and strategic priorities; determine monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecast
  • Keep up-to-date on industry developments and innovations to deliver best in class affiliate marketing strategy
  • Work with the technology teams to ensure European requirements are delivered


Agency management
  • Own and manage relationships with affiliate network(s), vendors and agencies to ensure they are meeting targets
  • Chair regular status meetings and QBRs with networks and agencies to review performance and manage workloads and strategic priorities
  • Manage agency performance through clear expectations, and drive change as needed
Analytics
  • Partner tightly with Analytics & CRM teams to turn data into actionable insights
  • Use available data to identify opportunities to improve ROI
  • Report on a monthly and quarterly basis about program performance


Team & matrix management
  • Manage a team containing specialists and interns
  • Support junior team members on day-to-day work and keep a strong focus on their professional development
  • Establish yourself as a marketing channel leader within the broader Integrated Media team and the wider Nike business; serve as the primary point of contact for anything relating to affiliate marketing
  • Collaborate and advise brand, category and territory stakeholders to align on plans and educate on the use of the affiliate marketing channel.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure plans have clear KPIs and briefs that include all the required information. Where appropriate challenge the brief and if required, suggest new ways of working
  • Manage and work to internal deadlines without compromising on quality



Qualifications

We are looking for a digital marketing expert, ideally with a background in retail ecommerce, with excellent technical and/or media knowledge as well as strong analytical skills and high growth potential.



Specifically, we require:
  • Complete 3-4 year university degree in related area including Business, Analytical, Marketing, Economics, IT or Engineering
  • 5+ years digital marketing experience, preferably with a background in affiliate marketing working across multiple territories
    • Excellent knowledge of Affiliate Marketing, prior accountability strongly preferred
    • Experience in managing large marketing budgets & optimizing to business KPIs
    • Ability to articulate and champion marketing best practices and standards
    • Robust knowledge of marketing tracking and feeds preferred
  • Ecommerce industry expertise
    • Excellent understanding of ecommerce performance metrics and basic web analytics
    • Strong understanding of digital marketing in an e-commerce and multi-channel setting
  • Proven strategist
    • Ability to define and articulate goals and objectives that map to larger strategic initiatives
    • Track record of driving a strong return on investment and ability to develop robust growth plans
  • Project management skills
    • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, plus strong strategic planning and creative problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to juggle a myriad of competing projects, prioritize appropriately, and meet deadlines
  • Communication/Language/Collaboration
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including presentations on complex business issues.
