Converse Designer II, Apparel

Converse is hiring a Designer II for our apparel team. In this role, you are responsible for designing apparel products that will be created and sold to our consumers. This role requires you to design original concepts, select appropriate colors & materials, and to make modifications to ensure manufacturability.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who can bring to life the seasonal category creative direction through apparel design and innovations that are trend relevant to the category consumer.

ACCOUNTABILITES:
• Creates original innovative concepts and designs that
• appropriately reflect the Converse design philosophy & standards with direction from Design and Category management.
• Advances design image, product performance, and inspires targeted consumers.
• Contributes to seasonal creative strategy for products and line segments.
• Clearly communicates changes to ensure timely completion of each project.
• Works with members in Design, Development, and
• Product Management to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs and product creation timelines
• Communicates and presents design concepts to various internal and external audiences along with more senior Designers.
• Provides design support for design team as needed outside of assigned product load.
• Proactively follows the execution of all product details including:
o construction details, color, form, style, detail, fit performance, graphic application, trim, etc.
• Leverages excellent knowledge and practice in all phases of product execution; shares knowledge and advancement with others.

• Strategic Thinking / Visioning, product relevance, product positioning, timing, collections,
• Presentation & Communication: Clear, Concise, and Thoughtful (verbal, written, visual, listening)
