Color Development Manager

As our GLAM Color Development Manager, you will partner with Color Design and Product Management to create and deliver color on the seasonal material palette. An advanced skillset in woven and knit materials, dyeing and finishing, and material manufacturing will allow you to own a holistic understanding of a material's capabilities. You will use your strong leadership skills to lead your team and drive initiatives with your category partners. You will maintain hands-on involvement in color development, and support seasonal initiatives and go-to-market strategies. You will research, test, and validate color techniques on seasonal materials. You will lead and drive the development process from initial concept to lab dip creation through to buy ready. You will ensure on time delivery of early lab dips against critical dates as well as lead the management of on-time color buy ready for in season product. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with business teams involved in design, color, product merchandising, product creation, material manufacturing and sustainability. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Textile design or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' relevant work experience in material/ product development or design
• 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong written and oral communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
• Experience communicating and collaborating with global partners
• Proven people and team leadership experience
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Office applications, and Product Data Management systems.
• Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen
• Ability to be creative and technical
• Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources
• Ability to understand the big picture related to Nike business processes and consumer needs
• Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast-paced team
• Understanding of design and development process from inception through final adoption
• Understanding of the application of color on materials, including color fastness tests
• Knowledge of apparel and material construction, including garment construction
• Advanced knowledge of heather materials and techniques
• Knowledge of product creation process and the apparel business
• Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
