Business Planner

Nike Russia is looking for experienced Business planner to work with one of the strategic accounts and biggest Sporting goods retailer in Russia - Sportmaster. This role will manage end-to-end planning as well as in-depth analysis of the current performance. Being a part of Sales Account team Business Planner will collaborate with Sportmaster Planning department and will be responsible for smooth and reliable top-line planning. Business Planner will lead open-to-by management to maximize mutual profitability and will coordinate internal processes to assure correct G2N planning.



Responsibilities:

Pre- season
• Deliver and manage long range topline forecast based on account and marketplace insights;
• Align Account financial plans by utilizing account strategy & profitability, account stock and sales plans and marketplace information;
• Support the sales team in the delivery of seasonal line level plans to ensure risks and opps against the topline forecast are clearly communicated and managed through;
• Partner with MPO to provide insights on supply chain forecast and shipping timings;
• Lead the process in recapping and concluding seasonal learning throughout the pre-season critical path;
• Deliver monthly updates on future season profits through Gross 2 Net management; ensuring all opportunities and risks are communicated and managed through.

In-season
• Create and manage topline seasonal plans including stock & sales and gross to net;
• Create informed and aligned plans against categories, gender, and business units (FW/APP/EQ) and align with internal and external Stakeholders;
• Ensure the retail plan & metrics are aligned against the seasonal wholesale plan & metrics;
• Weekly performance review of retail sales;
• Meet with Retail planner and KAE to align stock plans and always available forecast.

Post-season

  • Recap the performance of the category/gender/engine including average weekly sell-through;
• Recap bookings gross to net;
  • Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders e.g. Account, Sales, Finance for future season planning;
  • Recap performance of marketing and seasonal stories and proactively provide insights for future planning.
Other
• Lead Driver based seasonal planning process for the Account;
• Share and develop value adding planning & analytic tools/best practices with the wider integrated account team;
Take part and support Sales team in trade terms planning for Account
Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing or a related field 5+ years' experience in Buying, Planning, Allocation and/or Vendor Sales for a multi-store retailer or Assortment Planning experience with other apparel / footwear wholesale organization; 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree Comprehensive understanding of retail math Experience in gross margin profitability planning Ability to create monthly reports, style-level sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep Strong and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence others Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business Advanced knowledge of MS office applications; proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc. Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions Strong team player and ability to work with the cross functional partners and senior management on all aspects of the business Quick leaner
