Accounting Manager, Global Supply Operations and Logistics

Global Operations is a powerful catalyst for Nike's growth, and a critical enabler to deliver on the Triple Double: 2X Innovation, 2X Speed and 2X Direct. Global Operations teams build the foundation needed to reliably serve our consumers more directly with greater speed and agility. In support of the Consumer Direct Offense, we are building a Global Logistics & Geo Operations Controlling offense committed to serving the Connected Marketplace teams.
As the Global Operations and Logistics Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in continuous improvement of our inventory and supply chain accounting processes and controls to enable Nike's ongoing growth. You'll also take an active part in representing Controlling on initiatives designed to accommodate new business processes and changes to transaction streams impacting inventory/supply chain accounting, systems, and related reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
• Engaging with Global Operations and Logistics business stakeholders to provide requirements and support the enablement of new business initiatives
• Provide oversight for I+SCC end-to-end processes supporting supply chain strategies; partner with the geography I+SCC stakeholders to document and drive standardized processes and controls
• Operationalizing business strategies
• Assisting business partners in maintaining effective internal controls and leading projects to improve our processes around inventory in accordance with US GAAP and NIKE Accounting Policy.
• Feeding and promoting a lean/process excellence culture.
• Working within NIKE's complex operational and legal entity structure and working closely with Process Excellence and cross-functional counterparts to inform processes as needed to handle new transaction streams.
• Being a leader within the larger NIKE Finance and Controlling Organization to develop, embrace and deliver best practices


Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, finance or related functions
• Big 4 Public accounting experience and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with inventory accounting is a plus
• Experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is preferred
• Proven ability to problem solve and effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts
• High standards for quality and advanced ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and requests
• Enthusiasm for the Nike brand
• Ability to pass a 7 year background check
