Accounting Manager (Dong Nai)

The Accounting Manager role based out of our Vietnam facility will play a critical role ensuring accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results and financial performance. In addition, they will play a key role in the setup of process and documentation for statutory recording and reporting. We have a dynamic and diverse team tasked to complete complex global projects which bring value to the business. An excellent communicator is a crucial attribute to communicate with local contacts as well as our World Headquarters teammates and business contacts. We are looking for a self-starter with new ideas to enhance our team. Plan, coordinate and participate in all controlling functions, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulations, laws, and generally accepted accounting procedures. Participate in month, quarter and year end close processes. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to close schedule. Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations. Analyze complex financial reports and records. Review financial results with business leadership and advise on financial implications of business decisions; be a trusted business partner. Maintain SAP systems, routine and project support. Maintain and drive continuous LEAN improvement, on owned processes to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls. Coordinate more complex accounting projects and functional initiatives within Finance and /or cross functional teams. Participate in the review of monthly, quarterly and annual operational results with business leadership; continuously add value and be seen as a credible and trusted business partner Develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions and dimensions of the business Support of major plant initiatives, including LEAN manufacturing, and providing technical expertise. Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or in a directly related field or two additional years of experience in lieu of a degree. Minimum 5 years of directly relevant work experience in accounting or finance. Diverse experience including national or large regional public accounting firm and combination of plant level and corporate finance preferred. Solid knowledge of US GAAP and local Vietnamese accounting standards and regulations plus excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, close, reporting, etc.) Hands on manufacturing industry experience; LEAN manufacturing and accounting experience is preferred. SAP experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Ability to work collaboratively in matrix organization to maximize performance, problem solve and deliver results. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership team Standout "can do" attitude and enthusiasm to drive Air MI forward Must be able to read and speak in Vietnamese and English in order to read various statements, letters, and enable appropriate communications International travel to WHQ 5-10%
