Sr. Manager, Recruiting

NFP is growing and looking to expand our Talent Acquisition team. As the Sr. Manager, Recruitingyou will help develop, drive, and execute on the recruiting strategies and tactics that support NFP’s business and employee recruitment operations. You will lead and manage a team of recruiting professionals focused on hiring innovative risk, insurance brokerage and corporate talent. This is a full-time position and will be based in the offices of our New York City corporate headquarters and will work closely with NFP Business Leaders, HR Leaders and Hiring Managers across the company to drive world class recruitment operations and practices.


Partnering with NFP’s Head of Talent Acquisition and other HR and NFP Business Leaders, you will:

  • Develop innovative and scalable solutions to drive hiring processes that meet business objectives
  • Design custom and executable staffing plans while building excellent relationships with internal client groups as well as our 175 offices across the U.S. and Canada
  • Design and execute innovative sourcing strategies to ensure a personal, high-touch candidate experience
  • Deliver talent and manage candidate pipeline activity to meet or exceed hiring timelines and deliverables
  • Drive key initiatives, facilitate & lead meetings and projects with recruiting team, business partners and internal client groups
  • Manage a team of recruiters and provide mentorship, guidance and career development
  • Own and drive the recruitment process for selected executive and senior level roles
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key internal cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. Corporate, HR, Legal, Accounting & Finance, Regional Leadership etc.)
  • Create, build and develop NFP Talent Networks and Communities through communicating and nurturing relationships with prospects, employee referrals, and current and former applicants and candidates regarding new job opportunities
  • Compile & analyze data and metrics to support business decisions and plans as necessary

  • Experienced in driving recruiting initiatives such as University Programs, Recruiting Events, Employee Referral Programs, Diversity & Inclusion efforts and more
  • Has consistently set and achieved ambitious hiring goals (as an individual and as part of a team)
  • Skilled with training newer or less experienced recruiting teams turning them into high-performing talent-focused organizations
  • Managed full-cycle recruiting searches for executive and senior level positions
  • Hands-on experience with Candidate Relationship Management and Applicant Tracking Systems

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred with a minimum of 10+ years of recruiting experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing recruiting professionals
  • 3+ years of experience within the insurance brokerage, risk or financial advisory industries
  • Exceptional interviewing, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Experience with operating in a data analytics, reporting and metrics-driven environment
  • Experience developing, executing and leading sourcing / recruitment plans for searches
  • Ability to learn and understand complex products, processes and services
  • Strong business acumen to be able to comprehend business needs and structure
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to present new recruiting concepts to the talent acquisition team
  • Ability to travel for job fairs and to NFP offices for meetingsas needed
