Retirement Producer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce revenue through sales to new and existing clients
  • Participate in team sales situations with other producers and personnel
  • Develop new business relationships
  • Develop and adhere to prospecting plan
  • Develop relationships with prospect contacts and carriers
  • Recommend solutions to prospects as appropriate
  • Present market analysis to clients and prospects
  • Lead the development of sales proposals and presentations
  • Work collaboratively with account management teams to close business
  • Partner with the Account Management team throughout the implementation process
  • Provide on-going service to clients
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts and pricing
  • Meet key metrics including revenue and number of prospects in pipeline, meetings per month and closed sales
  • Ensure all client data is entered into CRM System (SalesForce) in an accurate and timely manner
  • Additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Obtain and maintain appropriate licenses (Vermont Life, Health & Accident)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Experience with salesforce.com preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and compliance preferred


Education and/or Experience:
  • Three to five years of sales experience
  • Proven success selling services and working in a consultative sales role
  • College degree
