Health and Welfare Client Advocate

NFP, a growing employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm located in Warrington, PA and seven-time recipient of The Philadelphia Business Journal’s Best Place to Work, is seeking a Client Advocate. The successful candidate will join an expert team that partners with clients to design, implement and manage their employee benefit programs. Strong interpersonal, writing and phone skills, problem solving, and attention to follow-up are essential for this position. Candidates should have work experience including but not limited to navigating insurance claims issues and employee benefits.

Responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to:

  • Answering an employee problem resolution phone line to manage and resolve a variety of issues including:
    • Claim Issues
    • Enrollment in benefits
    • Questions about level of benefits and what services are covered
    • Assistance interacting with insurance companies
    • Assistance understanding provider bills
    • Negotiation of charges with out-of-network providers
    • Assisting providers to correct claims submission when initial submission was incorrect
    • Providing follow up on cases with carriers and/or vendors and clients on a regular basis
  • Entering enrollment and termination records into various carrier systems
  • Resolving client level billing issues which can involve data entry, excel file manipulation and bill vs enrollment audits
  • Entering client renewal data into the Salesforce system
  • Assisting with standard client communication such as Business Associate Agreements, Service Agreements, and open enrollment materials
  • Documenting scope and results of all problems resolved and in process
  • Census manipulation in order to obtain renewals; may be requested to pull and organize small group rates from carrier systems
