Account Manager II


This is a full time exempt position. The Account Manager will maintain, expand, and

service existing personal lines accounts within the property and casualty department. The Account manager will obtain

information from prospects and producers for submissions, prepare premium comparisons, complete

Applications, and create presentations.



Essential Core Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain current working knowledge of the marketplace
  • Review for accuracy all carrier generated documents including new business, renewals, and endorsements
  • Process all new business, endorsements, and renewals using the agency management system per established process guidelines
  • Monitor, daily, all open activity and follow up
  • Assist accounting in collection of premiums advanced or agency billed policies
  • Identify gaps in coverage and uncover opportunities to cross sell additional lines of business
  • Provide day to day service to clients via phone, fax, and email
  • Handle first report of claims by gathering information from client and reporting to the carrier per agency guidelines using agency management system
  • Act as liaison to resolve claim disputes between customer and carrier
  • Other duties as needed

Desired Skills
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills, to include excel, word, power point
  • Excellent calendar management skills with meeting planning experience
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Attention to detail and follow-through; maintains a sense of urgency
  • Professional designations preferred/helpful (CIC, AAI, CISR, CPIA)


Desired Qualifications: 3-5 years Property Casualty Consulting experience. BA/BS degree is preferred.

Licensing/Certifications: NC Property& Casualty License
