Seasonal Production Accountant

The Production Accountant plays a key role in supporting the NFL Media Production Management Team in cost management and budget reconciliation. This position will be able to support production teams with any accounting related questions/concerns while making sure they are following company policies and audit procedures. The Production Accountant will also be responsible for communicating and collaborating with other departments in order to deliver findings and results in a presentable manner. This position will be reporting to the Manager, Production Accounting.


  • Work closely with Finance and department/production managers to ensure accurate maintenance of reporting, and forecasting of production budgets
  • Identify potential areas for budgetary risk, as well as opportunity for growth and/or process improvement
  • Reconcile production costs; track and research budget variances
  • Process vendor invoices, departmental purchase card, payroll, and petty cash reconciliation
  • Review and properly code monthly AMEX, T&E, and BDA transactions
  • Support production teams with ad hoc reporting & analysis
  • Resolves show coding assignments and allocation of costs to respective budgets
  • Entry of information into budget system
  • Assists in maintenance and organization of internal payroll budget systems and documentation for the Production Management department
  • Assist with reconciling quarter-end and year-end studio shows/remote events' budgets with general ledger actuals
  • Trouble-shoots errors with reporting and helps to re-assign coding to correct budget


  • 2-3 years of production experience and/or accounting/finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Previous experience with ADP/eTime a plus
  • Previous database experience a plus
  • A strong ability to multi-task, be pro-active, and detail oriented
  • Must have exceptional prioritizing, organizational, communication, initiative, judgment and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Requires direct communication with various departments including: Human Resources, Payroll, Production Management, Scheduling, Operations, Facilities
