Manager, Media Strategy & Business Development

The NFL Media Group is seeking a Strategy & Business Development Manager who will be responsible for pursuing key partnerships, content and distribution opportunities and supporting development of the NFL's media strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a broad range of traditional and digital media channels in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. This role requires an individual who can combine a solid understanding of the overall media and digital media space with a comprehensive foundation in business analysis.

Job Function

  • Identify, negotiate and manage strategic relationships with content and technology partners to generate revenue, grow traffic and/or strengthen corporate brand
  • Identify new strategic opportunities for growth; Effectively diligence, analyze and communicate these opportunities to senior management in a concise, polished format
  • Conduct industry and company analysis, including market research, financial statement analysis and building and maintaining financial and operational models
  • Support senior management in overall media strategy initiatives, including creation of comprehensive and cohesive presentations for senior-level review
  • Maintain budgets and P&L accountability for area of responsibility
  • Actively develop internal and external relationships to help advance group and overall League initiatives


  • Candidates able to show experience and understanding in overall media landscape (television, online, wireless, etc.) and related trends
  • An ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail while thinking strategically
  • Preferred 2 -- 5 years related professional experience within investment banking, consulting, media, or technology
  • An experienced business professional with strong entrepreneurial, management, writing, organizational, analytical and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of sports industry
  • Experience at negotiating commercial agreements
  • Bachelor's degree required
