Senior Product Manager

Nexus Systems, located in Falls Church, Virginia, is the leading provider of electronic solutions that automate the traditionally cumbersome paper-intensive AP process. Nexus Systems greatly aids financial management by automating the payables process through scanning, electronic approval routing and PO/Invoice management. Nexus' product, NexusPayables, enjoys continued success as a result of its functionality, reporting, user-friendly configurations, and ease of use for clients.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy. This position will be responsible for the NexusPayables product line and reporting to the Vice President of Product Management.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Assesses market competition by comparing our products to competitors' products
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and high quality
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Provides content and data to support internal and external product marketing campaigns to highlight new and existing product features to help drive sales and client retention
  • Works with the sales team to develop product sales strategies and provide sales support when needed
  • Works with the training team to define content for training materials, videos and training workshops needed to ensure a successful launch of new product features
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in finance, marketing, business management or similar study)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development lifecycle is preferred
  • Experience with Accounting processes is preferred
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
