Technology Delivery Lead will partner with Long Term Care, Business Solutions and Individual Disability Insurance business teams to facilitate IT project initiation, prioritization, solution selection, scheduling, execution oversight, and communication. Individual is expected to lead a cross-functional matrix team of New York Life employees and Vendor partners to deliver end-to-end solutions for enterprise-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Individual will foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, continuous delivery and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall accountability for Technology delivery
  • Lead cross-functional matrix team(s) to ensure timely delivery of projects to meet business objectives
  • Analyze business needs and recommend technical solutions
  • Ensure robust delivery plans with respect to time, budget, scope, transition into production, etc
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior-level executive sponsors, to define roadmaps and establish priorities
  • Develop materials/presentations for executive stakeholders; Keep IT and Business stakeholders informed of program status, risks, and key decisions. Ensure transparent and timely communications
  • Foster communication and collaboration between Business and Technology teams; Manage the relationship with IT, Business and Operations partners at all levels all the organization
  • Facilitate the agile processes, including planning periodic reviews and planning sessions with the team and business stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics as needed in support of individual and team performance, growth, and achievements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 6-9 years of experience working in IT, with 1-3 years of management experience
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale, complex projects in a highly matrixed organizational structure with multiple business and technology stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with software development processes and procedures
  • Solid understanding of technology components, DevOps tools, and practices
  • Resource Management Skills: ability to determine supply and demand and obtain necessary resources across a matrixed organization to complete the work successfully
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to budget, plan and utilize Company resources with precision
  • Proven experience in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including senior-level executive sponsors
  • Experience in defining strategic roadmaps and establishing priorities, with experience in managing competing needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Executive presence, communication skills
  • Ability to influence leaders, drive change and transformation while working across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Life/P&C/Long Term Care/Disability Insurance experience
