Technology Delivery Lead will partner with Institutional Annuities business team to facilitate IT project initiation, prioritization, solution selection, scheduling, execution oversight, and communication. Individual is expected to lead a technology team of New York Life employees and Vendor partners to deliver end-to-end solutions for moderate to complex projects in a fast-paced environment. Individual will foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, continuous delivery and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain overall accountability for Technology delivery
  • Analyze business needs and recommend technical solutions
  • Ensure robust delivery plans with respect to time, budget, scope, transition into production, etc
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including senior-level executive sponsors, to define roadmaps and establish priorities
  • Develop materials/presentations for executive stakeholders; Keep IT and Business stakeholders informed of program status, risks, and key decisions. Ensure transparent and timely communications
  • Foster communication and collaboration between Business and Technology teams; Manage the relationship with IT, Business and Operations partners at all levels all the organization
  • Facilitate the agile processes, including planning periodic reviews and planning sessions with the team and business stakeholders
  • Lead employees. Encourage individual and collective learning. Evaluate performance. Review and provide timely feedback, both positive and constructive, to team members with the goal of continuous learning and self-improvement
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics as needed in support of individual and team performance, growth and achievements

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 6-9 years of experience working in IT, with 1-3 years of management experience
  • Hands-on experience with software development processes and procedures
  • Solid understanding of technology components, DevOps tools, and practices
  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to budget, plan and utilize Company resources with precision
  • Proven experience in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including senior-level executive sponsors
  • Experience in defining strategic roadmaps and establishing priorities, with experience in managing competing needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Executive presence, communication skills
  • Ability to influence leaders, drive change and transformation while working across all levels of the organization
  • Resource Management Skills: ability to determine supply and demand and obtain necessary resources across a matrixed organization to complete the work successfully

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years in a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Life/P&C Insurance or Annuities experience
