Job Description:

Supports and understands NYL’s financial business processes. Configures and maintains NYL SAP Financial modules including new General Ledger, SFIN 1.0, Accounts Payable and other integrated components of the Finance modules within SAP. In addition to this, he should have a good understanding of the integration of the ECC with BPC module. Works closely with business partners to define financial requirements for the SAP application. Protects the functionality of the system by adhering to specific development lifecycles with an overall understanding of how functional and technical components of the application work together to provide functionality to the NYL end user community.

Manages the daily operations and team responsible for functional delivery; manages relationships with Application Maintenance Services (AMS) partner to support business change requests and 7×24 operations; gathers and analyzes data and reports that pertain to the overall operation of the business unit and completes reports summarizing activities and trends; performs independent review of problem situations; reviews processes and procedures to streamline activities to enhance service turnaround time, productivity, and quality

Determines scope of financial applications system by consulting with financial executives and other management to ascertain organizational needs for financial related information; functions as liaison with information technology and Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the implementation and support of SAP functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate solution architecting workshops with business managers and end-users to determine the functional requirements
  • Works with the business unit to develop business requirements, project deliverables, cost/benefit requirements, specifications, business architectural models, and use-case scenario specifications; applies project management processes/tools to manage and track all projects; communicates issues, concerns, risks, and other project information as needed
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and training of end-users, including sharing best practices
  • Works with the business unit to develop business requirements, project deliverables, specifications, business architectural models, and use-case scenario specifications; applies project management processes/tools to manage and track all projects; communicates issues, concerns, risks, and other project information as needed
  • Should be willing to travel around 20% of the time to New York

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required & 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior SAP ECC consulting experience, preferably in GL, AP & FA
  • Integration with SABRIX tax engine and related configuration
  • Knowledge in SFIN is must and working knowledge in SFIN projects is preferred
  • Experience around using CHARM & solution manager
  • Experience in complex CO & FI allocations utilizing customer fields and SKFs
  • Good knowledge of SAP BW / BPC with focus on integration between SAP ECC and SAP BPC
